Samantha Feingold

Samantha Feingold joined Phillipson & Uretsky as an Associate* in 2011. (*admission pending).

Ms. Feingold is a recent Dean?s List graduate of Fordham University School of Law, where she won the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. During law school, she was a member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Team, and she was the New York Region Champion in the National Trial Advocacy Competition. She was awarded the Tiffany Cup by the New York State Bar Association Trial Lawyers Section for winning Region II at the National Trial Competition in Houston, Texas.

As the research assistant to Fordham Law School Professor Daniel Capra, who serves as Reporter to the Federal Rules of Evidence Judicial Conference Advisory Committee, Ms. Feingold assisted in the development of two amendments to the Federal Rules of Evidence. In her research she examined how the public records exceptions in the federal rules could be adjusted to conform with the Supreme Court's decision in Melendez-Diaz v. Massachusetts.

While in law school, Ms. Feingold interned in the chambers of Judge Edward Korman (EDNY), at several District Attorneys? offices, and at the U.S. Attorney?s Office (SDNY), where she participated in court appearances and suppression hearings, drafted affidavits, and wrote legal research memoranda.

Ms. Feingold is a graduate of Columbia University, magna cum laude, where she was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was a member of Columbia?s Varsity Women?s Tennis Team, was active in student government, and served as a White House Intern. She is an active Board Member on Columbia?s Young Alumni Fund Development Council and is the Lead Class Agent for her class.
